The Origin of Anzac Day
At Dawn on the 25th of April, 1915, the Australian and New Zealand troops landed on the beach at Gallipoli. Every year since we have celebrated ANZAC day to honor those who fought and died in service of our country.
Originally ANZAC Day was to celebrate the ANZACs who fought at Gallipoli, however this changed after WWII to include any soldiers who had fought in the Australian and New Zealand defence force. |
